Good afternoon/morning/evening Ladies and Gents.
I realize that it has been quite a while since I’ve posted (a while being one week), and I apologize for that. I’m going to use this post to catch you up on all of the art journal prompts from last week, and tell you about a new weekly schedule that we’ll be working around. First off, the schedule. I took some time to brain storm a new idea for staying motivated about Frilly Fossils, and I came to the conclusion that posting every day was draining my energy, so we’re now resorting to only three days of elaborate posts, and the other four will be simple, little-planning-required posts. Here’s the new schedule we’ll be working with:
Sunday: Outfit Post. A new outfit photographed and posted every week.
Monday: Art Journal. Every Monday I will be posting a list of the prompts for the week (Monday-Sunday) until we get to the end of the challenge.
Tuesday: Tune-In-Tuesdays. A new PLYLST posted every Tuesday.
Wednesday: Recipe. A delicious, and easy, recipe posted every Wednesday.
Thursday: DIY. Nothing at all is changing about Thursdays. You’ll still get your regularly scheduled DIY projects.
Friday: Link Love. Every Friday I’ll post a list of links that I’ve discovered over the week that I absolutely fell in love with.
Saturday: Photo of the Week. I take a LOT of pictures during the week. I’ll use every Saturday to post my personal favorite out of all of the ones I’ve taken. You can also send in any pictures that you’ve taken over the week, and I’ll post them as well (please limit this to only one submission per reader).
And now, your art journal prompts:
#23 Pretend it’s the New Year. Set a goal and journal about what would happen if you reached that goal.
#24 Pretend you’re a god/goddess. Draw him/her.
#25 Think of something you’ve always wanted to do, but you’ve been too afraid to do. Draw a mountain and write your fear on one side and then what your life would be like if you could overcome that fear on the other side.
#26 Illustrate your favorite moment from the past week.
#27 Write a compliment to yourself for something you accomplished recently. Center a journal page around that complement.
#28 Write yourself a permission slip to stop doing things that you think you’re supposed to do, but you don’t want to do.
#29 Journal about your unhealthy habits.
#30 Draw yourself in a beautiful ball gown.
#31 Journal about things that you think are lovely.
#32 Think about something in your everyday life that you take for granted, and devote your art journal page to it.
#33 Draw a map from wherever you are to where you want to be.
#34 Paint or illustrate how you feel when you’re at your favorite place.
#35 draw a large heart in the middle of the page and fill it with things that make your heart smile.
That’s all for today. I hope you all have a fabulous Monday (or what’s left of it).
